The brief
It had to feel current and calm, never like an old club brochure.

A private members’ club in the High Weald needed a website that suits a membership of 340: the course shown properly, visiting golf by arrangement, and joining by introduction rather than by application form.

It had to feel current and calm, never like an old club brochure.

I set General Sans large and tight on a light stone page, with cinematic photography and hairline detail. An estate-plan hole viewer opens each of the eighteen holes, visiting and membership run as short enquiries, and the House, the Golf Studio and contact each get a page of their own.

Desktop and phone, exactly as Averleigh visitors see them.

Members, visitors and proposers each find their route within a screen: the course and its eighteen holes, the days and rates for visiting golf, how an introduction works, and where to lunch. Every enquiry goes to the Secretary’s office, and the site stays quiet and fast on a phone.
